Hello there, pet parents! As we gear up to celebrate the Fourth of July, we all get reminded that our furry friends do not share our enthusiasm for the loud and bright festivities. Fireworks, while a joy for us, can be quite scary for our pets. But don't worry, the CountryPet Naturals family is here to help! We've put together a list of 11 tips to help your pets have a happy, safe, and fun Fourth of July.

Understanding Pet Anxiety

Just like us, our pets can experience anxiety during stressful situations. The loud noises and bright lights of fireworks can trigger their fight-or-flight response, causing them to feel scared and anxious. But with a little preparation and understanding, we can help them navigate this stressful time.

11 Tips to Comfort Your Pets

1. Create a Safe Space: Make a cozy retreat spot for your pet with their favorite blanket and toys.

2. Use Distractions: Keep their mind off the noise with toys or a new chew toy. Give them your time and attention during loud festivities.

3. Maintain a Calm Environment: Keep your home as normal as possible. This includes keeping the TV or music on to mask the noise of the fireworks.

4. Provide Comforting Treats: An extra portion of a CountryPet Naturals Pet Food Roll or an extra squirt of Cod Liver Oil can go a long way and provide a sense of familiarity and comfort.

5. Consult a Veterinarian: If your pet's anxiety is severe, it may be worth consulting with a veterinarian.

10. Keep Them Indoors: It's best to keep pets indoors during the celebrations to prevent them from running away in fear.
